Reading this article as a student with work experience in 2019 is different, I feel, than it would have been a few years ago. Working in IT has made me realize that soft skills are not only just as important as technical skills, but have a much bigger impact on peoples' first impressions of you. In addition, I feel like soft skills are what initially open doors for young IT professionals to advance in their field, as networking plays a crucial part in that.
